Let's talk about sweets baby. We all love sweet things but is it good for us? Heck to the no! There is something called (AGEs) which means the theory of advanced glycation end products. What does that really mean right?!?! It's basically the relationship between sugar and the aging process. Did you know that it is commonly known that people with diabetes die prematurely. I'm not speaking of the folks that had diabetes when they were born. The kind I want to talk to y'all about today, is through unhealthy life style choices.
Let's jump back to AGEs. It is a substance that formed when our blood sugar (glucose) attaches itself to proteins in our body's tissues. Thus causing cross-linked hard brownish yellowish gross AGE compounds. Basically think of sugar as a mean little man that has a ice pick and a rope and he's ready to latch himself on to you (your tissue) and when he jumps ... He's holding on for dear life and hes taking up residency.
It can thicken your arteries, failing organs and stiff joints. It does and will accelerate aging. I mean in the inside an out! Dang you sugar!!
Eating less sugar was hands down one of the most difficult healthy habits to practice in America.
I just wanted to encourage y'all out there to try to listen to your body and not your mind because your mind will lie to you and whisper sweet nothing's in your ears about cookies, cakes and pies. O my!!!
Try to be aware of how much sugar you are consuming in a day. Average is stay under 26 grams of sugar. I bet it would surprise you If you counted your sugar to see how cracked out you really are. Lol. Have a wonderful healthy happy and hopefully less sugary day!
