Hey my friends. This is mega awesome to do on guys and ladies. You want to take years off or shade out areas you don't like.... This is what you want to do to put your best face forward. lol!
Let's learn some makeup lingo y'all.
Shading can bring things to light and life or it can hide.
Dark colors shade and make areas recede, for instance the cheek, temples, and side of nose in the picture below that you see.
Light Colors highlight and bring things to life or forward. Look under the eyes, apple of cheeks, and under chin. Anywhere there is light makeup is called highlighted.
You can also use pretty shimmers and penalized powders make fantabulous highlighters too. A contraindication would be oily skin and scared area's. On the oily skin it will look wet and nasty and with scarring it will pronounce the areas. So if you are in any of these categories, just stick to a Matt highlighter and a dark shade.
I think we all have morning when we wake up and look at our face and think dear Lord in heaven WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FACE!!!!!! I wake up sometimes and it looks like my eye is down by my nose. haha! Well not really but from me sleeping on my side of my face, I have that not so sexy smashed face look.
In this photo of me that I look totally scary but it will help you understand what shading and highlighting is. I did it very severe so y'all can see it but you guys get the picture I'm sure. So don't take this picture too literally. When sparingly applied can add definition to your already beautiful faces!
This is what I used to achieve this look.
This puppies are Urban Decay 24/7 concealer pencils. They are fun and fab because they are sticks. Easy to use!
The 2 colors you'll need is this. CIA which is the lightest color to highlight & MI6 the darkest to shade. Pretty sweet right.
Here are a couple other pictures so you can see the different angles of where I count at.
You can get these fa fa fabulous
If you wanted to do this on a daily basis, Iwould just recommend doing the cheeks, nose, and side of temple to shade out (darker color). Highlight done center of nose, under eyes and forehead. Gently blend out and then set with a power and move on to blush and normal routine of makeup. Again, I went dramatic on these pictures so you can see it clearly. Remember what most of our parent's said less is more. In this case, I agree!! Have a wonderful Day and go contour yourself!!!
